5. Decoding Dating: Here's the Key to Finding True Love

Dating without knowing why

People do not know what they are doing. Why should they? No one told them how, and no one told them why.

We go on a date, then another. Each person has their own interests in mind. Each has their own agenda.

People start dating because they feel lonely. They want company. After a few dates, even months later, what is it they actually want?

Not identifying that goal is the fundamental mistake people make while they try to date. When you do not have the goal, you accept anything, because you do not know what you want.

Yourself and the person next to you

You also need to understand how dating works, and human nature.

Human nature is how each person is built. You need to know what makes you feel loved and appreciated. You also need to know what makes the other person fall in love, respect you, and want a relationship. A woman is looking to be loved. A man is looking to be respected.

What we already have

When you do not know how each person is built, you rely on whatever system you already have for dealing with situations. The examples you saw from childhood. Television. Upbringing. The other influences around you. That is what you have.

The work is knowing why you are doing it, understanding how dating works, and understanding yourself and the person sitting next to you.
